In theory, the Borum thermoplastic extruder will extrude an even layer on the surface. This means that if the surface is rough and uneven, the line will be too, following the stones and holes up and down.
If the material is very liquid it will also go into the openings/pours of the pavement a bit. It is possible to compensate for this a little with adjustments to the pump, application speed, temperature and other.
In other words, the material consumption will be predictable according to the adjustments, not according to the type and condition of the surface.
*The Open Course Mix asphalt is much more porous than normal asphalt pavement and is designed to shed rainwater quickly.
