Borum will be attending the 2018 Intertraffic exhibition taking place between 20 - 23 March 2018 in Amsterdam. In order to welcome all of you – and to be able to present the next generation of Borum line marking machines - we are very happy to welcome you at our 210 m2 Borum space - stand 01.518 in Hall 1.

 

GETTING TO KNOW THE NEW BORUM MASTER 5500 -  A HIGH CAPACITY & POWERFUL LINE MARKING MACHINE DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND HOT AND HILLY AREAS 

Based on customer feedback and various market requirements, we have been restlessly working on further developing our line marking solutions. Therefore, we are happy to introduce a new addition to the Borum Master family - the Borum Master 5500.
 
The Borum Master 5500 has been designed to be able to line mark even in challenging areas that require a robust design. The machine can withstand ambient temperatures up to 50 °C (122 °F)  and can drive in hilly areas.

EU Stage V (US Tier 4) engine with AdBlue Technology for a more eco-friendly line marking solution

The BM 5500 is equipped with a new Deutz diesel engine that meets the EU Stage IV final (Stage V ready) and US Tier 4 emissions standards. Furthermore, the machine is also equipped with AdBlue technology. This consists of water and Urea (carbamide), which is injected into the exhaust gas to reduce the NOx emissions of the diesel engines. Therefore, besides having an EU Stage IV final (Stage V ready) and US Tier 4 approved machine, you also help protect the environment by reducing highly harmful emissions. 

In addition, the engine room has been designed to offer you easy access and servicing of the machine through large doors that give access to the engine room. Furthermore, various vital mechanical components as the compressor and the hydrostatic drive are directly connected to the engine. Due to no belts being required, less maintenance is needed in these areas of the machine

Efficient screw compressor with minimal wear and tear

The hydraulically driven screw compressor is positioned in the operator area, right behind the operator's seat. This will give you quick access for checking the compressor when needed. Furthermore, we have also made it possible for you to turn the compressor on and off directly from the machine's LineMaster computer. This will help in reducing consumption when the machine is on standby. In terms of performance, you will have the option of choosing among two power capacities based on the type of equipment the machine needs to be equipped with.

Redesigned glass bead tanks for easy refilling

The glass bead tanks have been redesigned in order to make the filler necks easier to reach and give you better access for refilling. Being equipped with 2 x 165 L tanks (2 x 43 gal.), you are able to use two types of glass beads if needed in order to achieve higher retro-reflectivity levels. 

 

The redesigned glass bead tanks with easy to access filler necks and compressor are positioned behind the operator seats.
